Description: The European network on Information Literacy (EnIL) is a network of researchers actively involved in Information Literacy, drawn from most of the EU25 countries. The network has been initiated and co-ordinated by Carla Basili in 2001, as research project within the Italian National Research Council and its aims include: +the definition of a common research agenda; +the production of collaborative studies and the collection of comparable data (see EDInfo and EgIL projects); +the promotion of information literacy in the European Union; +the advancement of European co-operation in this field; +the exchange of experiences and the discussion of best-practice examples.
