Description: University library of Rijeka is main library of all college libraries of Rijeka's university system. Rijeka's university system has got thirteen colleges which in their system have libraries as their autonomous units. University library of Rijeka is working independent from college libraries and according to the current Law it does not have any integral conditions. University library of Rijeka's mission considers: - collecting, evaluating and disemination of all kind of informations needed for university community - using global infrastructure and avaliable data base - education of users Information society imposes obbligation, especially of libraries but as well of all members of university societies of tough progress of information literacy as one of indispensably imperativs of work market. Unification of information literacy and library's role in development of that literacy is a challenge of every librarian.
