Description: The course is conductued mainly as distance education and guided assignments. Courses are organised every half term and the intensive course period lasts for five weeks. The information specialists of the library act as tutors during the course. The courses can easily be intergrated infor all sudy modules which require indepentden searching for information. The implementation of course supports problem based and project base learning

Objective: To give a compact overview of scientific information sources in library and information network. The course introduces the principles of scientific of scientific communication and information retrieval and elements concerning information quality assessment. Included in the university curriculum the student receive after completion 1,5 ECTS.
