Course Outline The course given in English is offered three times every academic year. It consists of three full days of instruction as well as an individual information search which includes relevance estimation of the search results. We also offer the option to book a time to make an individual search with the assistance of an Information Specialist. Credits To get credits for the course you are required to participate in at least 80 per cent of the course. You also have to write a report showing an understanding of the process of information retrieval and subsequent handling of search results for the individual subject choosen. The course gives three (3) higher education credits in the doctoral programme.

This summerschool is number 5 organized in a Nordic country. The local planning group includes representatives from Stockholm City Library, the Library of Karolinska institutet, V丳j?iversity Library and Stockholm University Library. The focus of the summer school is on library specific methods and different perspectives of information literacy. Learning among adults, pedagogical conversations, students as peer educators, learning environments are also included in the programme.
Into Info is a system of programs for learning about how to obtain and handle information in engineering, science and medicine efficiently. The program also provides information about and links to a selection of high quality information resources for research, development and practical work. The availability is restricted and based on aquired licenses.
This is a web based introduction to information retrieval. In a couple of hours the student will learn the basics of gathering information from databases and the Internet, and utilising library catalogues. The course takes the user step by step through the entire search process right to the actual publication the student seeking.
In order to collect data for a description of the situation websites, questionnaires to vice-cancellors, chief librarians and students' unions were used and studied. Furthermore 8 universities for interviewing representatives of staff were selected.
