An international workshop to promote information literacy in South and South East Asia is presently being held at the Punjabi University, in Patiala, India, with the supportof UNESCO and other partners.
Within America's information society, the potential exists to address many long-standing social and economic inequities. To reap such benefits, people - as individuals, and as a nation - must be information literate. The Forum's work is intended to empower member organizations with ideas and resources to promote information literacy among their memberships and constituents, both here and abroad.
